The Mines and Mining Development Ministry has urged small scale miners in the Great Dyke to unite in order to engage government on issues affecting the sector as well as submit input for the Mines and Mining Amendment Bill.
Speaking recently Mines and Mining Development Minister Winston Chitando said government recognized two representative federations in Zimbabwe’s mining sector and all other associations have to join those two for progress’ sake.
The minister also indicated that working with the Zimbabwe Miners Federation, government will soon avail more initiatives to support and equip miners.
The mining sector is working to achieve a US$12 billion-dollar economy by 2023.
