The Minex Shamva Expo which was to set to be held on the 26th of March at the Shamva Country Club has been postponed to a date to be advised in compliance with the Government ban on gatherings of more than 100 people for sixty days.
The ban was announced by President Emmerson Mnangagwa in a State of the Nation address yesterday.
Announcing the postponement, Minex Public Relations and Communication Executive Moses Charedzera said they stand guided by government on the COVID-19 issue.
” All our preparations for the event had hit top gear and we were all set to host the historic expo in Shamva, but we are aware of the risk posed by COVID-19 and the need to act safe in compliance with the government directive banning gatherings of more than 100 people.
” We will however continue the preparatory process for Minex Shamva in anticipation of the time the ban is lifted. We urge exhibitors, conference delegates and other stakeholders to remain on board as the expo will be held once government issues the green light for such gatherings,” he said.
