Mimosa Mining Company says its true legacy will not be measured in platinum output, but in the lasting impact it leaves on surrounding communities.
Speaking at the Great Dyke Awards, Mimosa General Manager Stephen Ndiyamba stressed that while the platinum resource will eventually run out, the company’s commitment to development, education, and cultural support must endure.
“At some point, the mine will close because resources are finite. But our legacy must speak of development, impact and upliftment,” Ndiyamba said.
He highlighted Mimosa’s investment in education, sport, and the arts, describing these as “the real wealth of the Great Dyke.”
