Preparations for the 27th edition of the Mining Engineering and Transport Expo (Mine-ENTRA) are well underway, with exhibitor space uptake surpassing last year’s figures. A total of 8,406 square meters has been booked by 254 exhibitors, a significant increase from the 6,544 square meters taken up by 204 exhibitors in 2023.
Zimbabwe International Trade Fair Company board chairperson Busisa Moyo said the event, set for October 9-11, 2024, will also feature 19 international exhibitors from China, the Democratic Republic of Congo, India, and South Africa, up from 12 in the previous edition.
The event’s highlights include the Mining Industry Suppliers Forum, speed networking sessions, and a welcome cocktail on October 9. President Emmerson Mnangagwa is set to officially open the expo on October 10, followed by the Zimbabwe Miners Federation Small-Scale Mining Conference and a charity golf challenge on October 11.
