Munyaradzi Hwengwere has been appointed as the new Patron of the Association of Mining Journalists in Zimbabwe (AMJZ). A notable figure in both media and mining, Hwengwere serves as a Board Member of the Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe. His extensive experience is expected to bring valuable insights and direction to AMJZ.
Khumbulani Malinga, Secretary General of AMJZ said as Patron, Hwengwere will provide honorary leadership, advocate for ethical journalism, enhance AMJZ’s visibility, network with industry stakeholders, and promote high standards of journalistic integrity within the mining sector.
The AMJZ Presidium expressed confidence in his appointment, viewing it as a key step in advancing their mission to improve the quality of journalism in Zimbabwe’s mining industry.
