The annual Nedbank Tour de Great Dyke, a 320-kilometer charity cycling event by YA FM, unites cyclists and communities to support Zimbabwe’s underprivileged youth. Launched in 2016, the event funds the Gifted Children Foundation, aiding over 100 academically talented students from primary through tertiary education.
This three-day tour, divided into stages named after key mining sponsors, spans the Great Dyke, with stops in towns like Chegutu, Kadoma, and Gweru for community activities. Veteran cyclists Wilson Dube and Nkust are this year’s ambassadors, promoting wellness and career opportunities along the route.
Safety measures include police escorts and hydration stations. More than a ride, this tour brings together sponsors and communities in a mission to empower Zimbabwe’s youth and promote wellness.
