A cargo plane crashed near Vilnius Airport in Lithuania early Monday, killing one crew member and injuring three others. The Boeing 737, operated by Swiftair for DHL, was on its final approach when it crashed near a house. Local authorities confirmed that all 12 people aboard the flight from Leipzig, Germany, were accounted for, and no other casualties were reported.

Rescue services evacuated residents from a nearby property, while firefighters tackled a blaze 1.3 km from the runway. Flight operations at Vilnius Airport continued, as an investigation into the cause of the crash was launched. The plane, a 31-year-old Boeing 737-400, was owned by DHL and made an emergency landing attempt. Weather conditions at the time included a temperature of 0Ā°C, cloud cover, and winds of 30 km/h.
