The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) are searching for Valentine Tamuka Zireva in connection with the suspected murder of 21-year-old student teacher Keener Tsanana, whose body was discovered at Guinea Fowl High School on the evening of January 25, 2025.
Speaking to Great Dyke News, ZRP Midlands spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko said Tsanana, a trainee teacher, was found lifeless inside a room at the school around 8 PM. The grim discovery was made by Simbarashe Dzimba, a security guard at the institution, who then reported the matter to the police.
Preliminary investigations indicate that Tsanana was last seen alive on January 24 in the company of Zireva, a student at Hillside Teachers College in Bulawayo, believed to be her boyfriend. The two were reportedly spotted entering the school premises together. Further deepening suspicions, police recovered Zireva’s belongings inside the room where Tsanana’s body was found.
Zireva’s current whereabouts remain unknown, and authorities have launched a manhunt for him. The police are urging anyone with information about his location to report to the nearest police station or inform officers on patrol.
