President Emmerson Mnangagwa Takes Oath for Second Term

Today, the President Elect, Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, is being sworn into his second term as the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe at the National Sports Stadium in Harare.
The Former First Lady and her daughter Bona Mugabe are attending the Inauguration Ceremony.

Other high-profile people attending the inauguration are: Former VP Dr Joice Mujuru, Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa and Ambassador Eubert Angel.

Foreign dignitaries and Heads of State in attendance include South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, Rwandan Senate President Dr Francois Xavier Kalinda, DRC President Felix Antoine Tshisekedi, Botswana’s Vice President Slumber Tsogwane, Mozambican President, Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, Zambia’s Foreign Affairs Minister Honourable Stanley Kakubo.

The Inauguration ceremony follows President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s resounding victory in the just-ended harmonized elections.

President Mnangagwa won the presidential election after polling 2 350 711 votes, 52,6% of the total votes.
