President Emmerson Mnangagwa this morning toured the Mining and Agriculture Village at the Exhibition park in Harare during the ongoing Zimbabwe Agricultural Show.
His first port of call was the Ministry of Mines and Mining Development stand, followed by the Zimplats stand.
From Zimplats he proceeded to the Mimosa stand where he was shown a short video of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility programme which demonstrates synergies between the company and agriculture.
Commenting during the tour, President Mnangagwa applauded Mimosa for a job well done.
“Well done, l’m impressed with what l have seen here , continue working very hard,” he said.
After the Mimosa stand, he proceeded to the Barzem stand where he was shown the state of the art bulldozer machine.
Also to tour the village was the former Vice
President Kembo Mohadi who was impressed with Mimosa’s Livestock Revitalisation Programme .
“This is great, l have seen that you guys are investing beyond mining for sure, keep up the good work, l hope to come and see you in Zvishavane,” he said.
The Mining and Agriculture village exhibition is organized by the Zimbabwe Agricultural Society in partnership with Minex.
The exhibition this year is running under the theme “Celebrating Miners Investments In Agriculture.
Other companies exhibiting in the village are Massey Ferguson , Good year Tyres , Zimplow , Farmec, Scania, Mealie Brand and integrated communications company MEJRKH Communications and Media Advisory which runs YAFM, GreatDykeNews24 and Great Dyke TV.
