“Our local contractors are doing tremendous work. From roads to dams and housing, the infrastructure being developed is remarkable,” Zindaga said. She urged the Zimbabwe Investment and Development Agency (ZIDA) to encourage foreign investors to tap into local expertise rather than seeking professionals outside Zimbabwe. “We have the capabilities here, and it is crucial to give our local contractors the opportunity to showcase their skills.”

Zindaga emphasized the economic benefits of promoting local contractors, explaining that keeping investments within Zimbabwe would boost the economy by preventing capital outflow. “By supporting local contractors, we ensure that funds remain in the country, fostering further development.”

She also discussed the growing focus on sustainable construction in Zimbabwe, which includes projects in renewable energy and organic agriculture. The integration of industries, Zindaga noted, is creating a ripple effect across sectors such as construction and agriculture, reinforcing the nation’s progress towards self-sustained development.

Zindaga called for continued collaboration between local investors and the construction industry, underlining that this partnership would be vital for Zimbabwe’s long-term economic growth and stability.
