Severe snow and freezing rain have caused major travel disruptions in the UK, closing airports and halting road and rail services.
Manchester Airport shut its runways, canceling over 20 flights and delaying 200+. Other airports, including Liverpool and Newcastle, also closed temporarily. Several major roads, such as the A628 and A66, are blocked due to snow.
Train services, including LNER and TransPennine, are disrupted. Heavy snow and icy conditions are expected to continue, with up to 40cm in some areas, and amber cold weather alerts remain in place across England.
