Kuvimba Mining House (KMH)-owned Shamva Mine has recorded 1,167,000 fatality-free shifts and achieved 365 consecutive days without a lost time injury. This milestone highlights Shamva Mine’s dedication to a hazard-free work environment and the well-being of its employees.


General Manager Eng Gift Mapakame expressed pride in this achievement, he said the milestone reflects who they are and that they walk the talk.



This accomplishment is significant for both Shamva Mine and the broader mining industry in Zimbabwe. It sets a new standard for safety practices, proving that it is possible to operate without fatalities or significant injuries.
