Shurugwi Duo Sentenced to 20 Years for Brutal Murder.

The High Court sitting at Gweru has sentenced two men from Shurugwi, Jeremiah Donhora and Kudakwashe Ncube, to 20 years in prison for the brutal murder of Bernard Canaan Ngulube in 2017. The duo, along with an accomplice who remains at large, was convicted for the violent assault on Ngulube, whom they accused of theft.


According to court proceedings, the accused men subjected Ngulube to a savage beating, using fists, booted feet, logs, and even scalding him with boiling water. The victim was hospitalized for five days before succumbing to his injuries.


The court described the actions of Donhora and Ncube as callous and premeditated, underscoring the brutality of the assault. As a result, both men were sentenced to serve 20 years in prison for their crime.
