Authorities in Zimbabwe’s Masvingo province have confirmed the arrest of three suspects involved in a violent robbery in the Headman Handiziwi area of Chivi, while others remain on the run.According to police reports, the attack occurred on the evening of January 25, 2025, around 7:00 PM.

The victim, Joe Ndaba, 32, was making his way home when he was ambushed by a gang of robbers who emerged from the bush. The attackers, identified as Saymore Runhare, 23, Brighton Mazo, 19, and a 17-year-old juvenile, allegedly ordered Ndaba to lie down.

When he resisted, the assailants struck him in the mouth with a stone, causing severe dental injuries. One of the suspects then brandished a knife and stabbed Ndaba on the elbow while demanding money. The gang ransacked his pockets, making off with $60 in cash before disappearing into the night.

Following a swift police investigation, law enforcement agents tracked down and arrested three of the suspects. Their unidentified accomplices, however, remain at large.

Authorities have launched a manhunt and are urging the public to come forward with any information that may assist in apprehending the remaining perpetrators.
