The Youth Empowerment and Transformation Trust (YETT) has proposed the introduction of a quota system in employment opportunities as part of efforts to address rising unemployment rates.

Speaking on behalf of the organization, YETT representative Jeffery Mafuta stressed the importance of fair representation in the workforce.

“There should be a quota system when it comes to employment to ensure greater access for all groups, especially young people, and effectively combat unemployment,” Mafuta said.

YETT continues to champion policies aimed at empowering young people through access to economic opportunities, education, and participation in governance processes.

This advocacy aligns with YETT’s broader agenda to uplift youth and promote sustainable employment solutions across Zimbabwe.
