Zimbabwe Advances Human Rights and Anti-Corruption Reforms.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving the human rights landscape and strengthening anti-corruption measures in Zimbabwe.


Speaking on ongoing reforms, the President highlighted the progress of the Abolition of the Death Penalty Bill, which is currently undergoing Parliamentary approval.

Additionally, the Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission has been decentralized to enhance accessibility and efficiency in safeguarding citizens’ rights.


President Mnangagwa highlighted that there is a nationwide decentralization of the justice delivery framework. He also emphasized efforts to combat corruption through the upcoming Whistleblower Protection Bill, Witness Protection Bill, and Anti-Corruption Amendment Bill, all of which aim to strengthen accountability and transparency.
