The Zimbabwe Export Week 2024 opened at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre in Bulawayo, with a spotlight on bridging exporters with new markets and addressing logistical and financial hurdles in the trade sector.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa, speaking at the event, stressed the need for collaboration to overcome challenges facing the country’s exporters.

“I am confident that the topics under discussion will sharpen stakeholders’ perspectives on promoting Zimbabwe’s brands, solving logistical bottlenecks, and providing trade finance solutions,” he said.

ZimTrade CEO Allan Majuru underlined the event’s primary objective of connecting buyers and sellers.

“We have participants from seven countries, including South Africa, Botswana, and the United Kingdom, who are here to discuss business and explore potential partnerships,” Majuru explained.

The event aims to create practical market linkages while providing exporters with tools to navigate the complexities of international trade. Topics on the agenda include export financing, branding strategies, and overcoming logistical barriers that Zimbabwean exporters face.

With a growing focus on diversifying export markets and building sustainable trade relationships, Zimbabwe Export Week offers a platform for participants to find solutions, network, and position Zimbabwean products on the global stage.
