The Zimbabwe Republic Police are seeking information to locate a male suspect identified only as Augustine, in connection with the murder of 38-year-old Edmore Mugwazhi.
The incident occurred on August 24, 2024, at Choga Business Centre in Zaka, where Mugwazhi, a security guard at a local bottle store, was involved in a confrontation with the suspect over the store’s operating hours.
During the altercation, Augustine allegedly assaulted Mugwazhi, kicking him repeatedly. Mugwazhi sustained severe injuries and was transported to Masvingo General Hospital. Despite receiving treatment, he succumbed to his injuries on August 26, 2024.
The police are urging anyone with information on Augustine’s whereabouts to come forward.
