Nineteen young and promising chess players from Zimbabwe are gearing up to showcase their skills and represent their nation at the 2023 African Youth Chess Championships in Cairo, Egypt.
This enthusiastic team, comprised of players ranging from Under 8 to Under 18 age categories, is set to depart for Cairo later today in anticipation of the continental competition, scheduled to commence today.
With an air of confidence and determination, both the boys and girls are eagerly looking forward to demonstrating their prowess on the chessboard, aiming to surpass their counterparts from other chess-playing nations across Africa.
