ZPC Provides Update on National Power Grid Blackout, Restoration Underway.

The Zimbabwe Power Company (ZPC) has issued a statement this morning regarding the nationwide power outage that affected the country’s national grid overnight.

In a message to its customers, ZPC explained that the outage was caused by a “system disturbance” that led to a complete blackout. The power company confirmed that its engineers had promptly responded and began efforts to restore electricity across the country.

“We regret to advise our valued customers that the national grid experienced a system disturbance last night resulting in a system blackout. Our engineers reacted and began the restoration process,” ZPC stated in their update.

By morning, most of the load centres across the country had been successfully restored, according to ZPC, with the company expressing gratitude for the public’s patience during the blackout.
