The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) is investigating two separate murder cases reported in Chiweshe and Chiredzi.
In the first incident, which occurred on November 24, 2024, at Kodzwa Village in Chiweshe, a two-month-old infant tragically lost her life after being struck on the head with a wooden log.
The suspect, 26-year-old Tapiwa Masache, allegedly aimed to assault his wife during a domestic dispute but missed her, fatally hitting the child instead.
The infant was rushed to a hospital in Glendale but was pronounced dead upon arrival. Masache is currently on the run, and the police are appealing for information leading to his capture.
The second incident took place on November 23, 2024, at a bar in Chiredzi.
Wilson Mashaya (30) was stabbed in the chest with a knife following an argument over beer.
The suspect, identified as Mupfuka, fled the scene. Authorities are urging anyone with information to report to their nearest police station.
