The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed a fatal hit-and-run incident that occurred this morning at approximately 08:30 hours near Indarama Mine in Kwekwe.
According to reports, a male adult was found deceased in a pool of blood by a passer-by on an unmarked dust road connecting Indarama Mine to Mbudzi Compound. The ZRP Kwekwe Rural unit responded to the scene and discovered the victim with severe head and facial injuries, along with visible tyre marks on his body.
The deceased was wearing a yellow t-shirt, blue sneakers, a woolen hat, and grey pants with white and grey stripes. The body has been transported to Kwekwe General Hospital, where it is awaiting post-mortem and identification.
The public is encouraged to visit the hospital to identify the body if they have a missing relative matching this description.
