Zimbabwean Athletes Gear Up for 2024 Paris Summer Paralympics with Key 100m Dash Events Ahead.

Zimbabwe’s participants in the 2024 Paris Summer Paralympics have arrived in France, ready to represent the nation on the world stage. The team, led by Paralympic gold medalist and coach Elliott Mujaji, includes two athletes who will compete in the highly anticipated 100m dash events.


Speaking to Great Dyke News Mujaji said Kudakwashe Chigwedere is set to kick off Zimbabwe’s campaign, competing in the 100m heats on Friday at 12:45 pm. Should he advance, he will race in the finals later that evening. His teammate, Tinotenda Bango, will take to the track on September 3rd at 12:50 pm, with the final scheduled for 8:00 pm.

The 2024 Summer Paralympics are underway in Paris, France, marking the city’s first time hosting the event and the second overall for France. Running from August 28 to September 8, the Games opened at the historic Place de la Concorde and showcase 4,463 athletes competing in 549 events across 22 sports. The closing ceremony is set to take place at the Stade de France.
