The Mine Ventilation Society of Zimbabwe (MVSZ) Conference 2024, starting tomorrow, will be led by Pfungwa Kunaka, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Mines and Mining Development.
The two-day event will focus on critical ventilation issues, particularly for artisanal and small-scale miners who face significant risks from inadequate systems. These miners are often exposed to harmful gases like methane and carbon monoxide, exacerbated by limited resources for proper ventilation and monitoring equipment.
