Advocate Mudenda Elected Speaker of Parliament

In a significant development, His Excellency President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa has announced the official reappointment of Dr. Constantino Chiwenga and Mr. Kembo Dugish Mohadi as the nation’s two Vice Presidents. The formal swearing-in ceremony was conducted earlier today at State House, in the distinguished presence of President Mnangagwa, and was solemnly administered by Chief Justice Luke Malaba.
Simultaneously, within Zimbabwe’s parliamentary proceedings, Honorable Advocate Jacob Mudenda has been duly elected as the Speaker of Parliament, with no competing candidates for the esteemed position. Advocate Mudenda returns to the role he previously held during the 9th parliament, serving from 2018 until August 2023.
