The Lands, Agriculture, Water and Rural Resettlement Ministry says the 2020 World Food Day will be a day to recommit to ensuring the country attains national food security and the 2020-21 agriculture target of 2.8 million tonnes of grain.

Dr Masuka highlighted that preparations for the season have started very well and all stakeholders are being adequately equipped.
Meanwhile – Traditional leaders have urged villagers to use the Presidential farming inputs that they receive for the intended purpose and move away from the culture of selling the inputs. Headman Dziti speaks.
World Food Day is an international day celebrated every year around the world on 16 October in honour of the date of the founding of the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations in 1945. This year the day is being commemorated under the theme: “Grow, nourish, sustain. Together. Our actions are our future.”
