Miners in the Great Dyke are being urged to put all safety measures in place to ensure their mine shafts are safe to work in during the rainy season which has in the past been characterized by costly accidents that claim lives.
In an interview Mberengwa Miners Association (MBEMA) Chairperson Anderson Tsikira had this candid advice for miners.
Miners operating in Mberengwa echoed the same sentiments and called on fellow miners around the Great Dyke to prioritise life above everything else.
