Mimosa Mining Company Face Preparation Supervisor was killed in an underground accident that occurred at the mine near Zvishavane on Saturday night.
In a statement, the company said Tichaona Nedziwe (39) died when a rock fell and seriously injured him. First aid was promptly administered but he died on admission at the mine clinic.
The statement said that a full investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident and the mine reiterated its commitment to attaining an environment where zero harm is possible.
