The Zimbabwe Chamber of Mines of Zimbabwe is set to launch a new book which chronicles the history and trends of mining in Zimbabwe.
Addressing journalists in the capital yesterday, CoMZ President Batsirai Manhando said the book will be launched during the 2019 Zimbabwe Annual Mining Conference to be held in Victoria Falls next week.
“We will also take the opportunity to Launch a new Book, “Mining in Zimbabwe” which chronicles the history and trends of mining in Zimbabwe and opportunities thereof.
“A Synopsis of the book will be presented at the launch by John Holloway, who is a key author of the Book.
“The outcome of the conference is expected to shape activities in the mining sector towards achieving the Vision 2030,” he said.
He added that President Mnangagwa is expected to be the guest of honour at the conference.
“The Main Conference will be officially opened by the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, His Excellency E. D. Mnangagwa who is our Guest of Honour,” he said.
