Four people, including a child, were killed, and 24 others injured in an Israeli air strike near Rafik Hariri University Hospital in southern Beirut, the Lebanese health ministry confirmed.
The strike, part of 13 attacks targeting Hezbollah-linked sites, hit the hospital’s car park. Although Israel had warned civilians to evacuate certain areas, the hospital was not listed.
Separately, Israel claimed to have uncovered a Hezbollah bunker under Sahel Hospital, an allegation the hospital denied. The conflict, which began on October 8, 2023, continues with Hezbollah firing rockets into northern Israel. So far, 2,400 people have died in Lebanon and 59 in Israel.
