The Junior Chamber of Mines of Zimbabwe (JCMZ) has pledged to cut operational costs and enhance safety, health, and environmental (SHE) standards in the medium-scale mining sector.
Speaking at their inaugural quarterly meeting in Gweru, JCMZ President Brian Samuriwo unveiled plans to introduce mechanization models to boost mineral output while reducing expenses.
Additionally, the organization says it aims to provide SHE training for medium-scale miners and promote responsible mining practices.
Mr. Samuriwo emphasized JCMZ’s dedication to workers’ welfare and fair treatment. He outlined key focus areas, including optimizing mining resources and ensuring equitable labour practices.
