Mine workers representatives have applauded large mining firms in the Great Dyke that have taken huge strides in the fight against the covid-19 pandemic at their mines as well as in the surrounding communities.
Speaking to Great Dyke News Zimbabwe Diamond and Allied Mineral Workers’ Union (ZIDAMWU) Secretary General Justice Chinhema applauded Platinum miners Mimosa and Unki as well as gold miner Blanket for the work done so far.
He called on other large-scale players to follow suit and protect employees and their families.
The covid-19 pandemic has so far claimed more than 200 lives in Zimbabwe.
