Health workers in Masvingo say tuberculosis and HIV patients in rural districts are hiding their status as they fear discrimination in their communities, a situation that has made it difficult for them to access healthcare services.
Speaking to Great Dyke News, Gutu based Health worker Tapiwa Chinozipa said most patients are defaulting on their treatment with some giving false addresses.
He was speaking on the sidelines of a function to celebrate “5 years of the “Challenge TB project” in Gutu by USAID, the World Health Organization, KNVC Tuberculosis Foundation and the Ministry of Health and Child Care.
