Shamva police are appealing for public assistance following the brutal murder of Gladys Chidaro, 52, at Sanye Village 10 on October 9. Chidaro was attacked by two unidentified suspects who reportedly stole an undisclosed amount of money. Her body was discovered with multiple stab wounds.
In a separate incident on October 12 at Commonwealth Claim, Mazowe Mine, a 17-year-old artisanal miner was found dead, also with multiple stab wounds. Another miner, severely injured in the attack, is receiving treatment at a Concession hospital.
Authorities urge anyone with information to report to the nearest police station as investigations into these violent crimes continue.
