President Emmerson Mnangagwa has received his covid-19 jab in Victoria Falls today.
Posting on his Facebook page, President Mnangagwa urged Zimbabweans to be vaccinated adding that the vaccine is safe and effective.
“I just received my #COVID19 vaccine!
“Zimbabweans – the vaccine is safe and effective. I urge you all to get your jab,” he said.
Meanwhile the Vice President Constantino Chiwenga who is also the Minister of Health and Child Care who is also the Vice President said he is impressed by the response of the Victoria Falls residents towards vaccination.
“I am so so impressed by the response of the Victoria Falls City residents. They have come en masse, and this is what we would want to see.
“This is what we are expecting to see in every corner of Zimbabwe, people to be behaving like what I have seen here in Victoria Falls.
“Therefore, the economy will be back on track and the safety of our people will be guaranteed. If we are talking of achieving the 60 percent herd immunity this is what it should be,” he said.
