Police in the Midlands are urging members of the public to desist from carrying large sums of cash following a brazen armed robbery in Fitchlea, Kwekwe, on 18 August 2024.
Speaking to Great Dyke News ZRP Midlands spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko said in the incident, Courage Mugari, 29, was attacked and robbed of USD $7,000 and a cell phone by three men who posed as gold ore sellers.
The suspects, armed with pistols and an electric shocker, forced Mugari to the ground before fleeing the scene. Authorities have launched a manhunt for the culprits and are appealing for any information that could lead to their arrest.
