A 21-year-old man, Panashe Dera, has been arrested in Shurugwi and is now facing 23 counts of unlawful entry and theft following an extensive police investigation.
Dera was initially arrested on 20 January 2025, and further questioning by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Shurugwi linked him to seven additional cases committed in Ironsides, Makusha, and Sebanga.
Police have recovered cellphones, laptops, and other electrical gadgets, with seven victims already identifying their belongings. Authorities urge other potential victims to come forward and identify stolen items.
Investigations are ongoing as police continue efforts to curb burglary and theft in the region.
