Traditional leaders have expressed their commendation for the prevailing peace in the country following the recently concluded elections. In separate interviews, these leaders all highlighted a common theme – the peaceful manner in which the elections were conducted.
Chief Mposi, speaking from Mberengwa, Vanguard, reported that voters in his region were able to cast their votes in a timely and peaceful manner. He noted that this marked a significant departure from past elections and represented the first time since independence that people with differing political views were able to go to the polls and continue coexisting peacefully.
