The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) is spearheading efforts to educate communities on the safe usage of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPGas), aiming to mitigate potential dangers associated with its usage. As part of this initiative, ZERA is conducting comprehensive training sessions for LPGas fillers, with a particular focus on youth and individuals who have not undergone prior training.

Samuel Zaranyika, the Consumer Services Manager at ZERA, highlighted the authority’s commitment to promoting LPGas safety through proactive measures. He explained that ZERA conducts annual stakeholder engagement programs in provinces with high LP Gas usage. These engagements specifically target areas where incidents related to LP Gas dangers are prevalent, aiming to provide crucial education to users.

ZERA’s approach is geared towards fostering a culture of responsibility and awareness among LPGas users, with a focus on preventing accidents and ensuring the well-being of the community. The authority’s dedication to proactive community engagement reflects its commitment to promoting safety standards in the use of LPGas across the nation.
