The Zimbabwe Republic Police has implored motorists with temporary number plates from 2019 backwards to visit the Central Vehicle Registry and acquire permanent plates with immediate effect or risk having their vehicles impounded.
In a statement the ZRP National spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said it has confirmed with the CVR that number plates are in stock at USD$80.
He warned motorists that the ZRP will mount roadblocks around the country to impound vehicles that are not legally registered.
Assistant Commissioner Nyathi called on motorists to be exemplary in their conduct.
