279 Retailers Arrested For Rejecting Bond Notes.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) have arrested 279 retailers for rejecting and charging premiums on bond notes.

In a telephone interview with Great Dyke News 24, ZRP National Spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi warned errant retailers in Mberengwa and Zvishavane who continue to reject or charge premiums on local currency, smaller denomination notes saying the long arm of the law will soon catch up with them.


Consumers in the mining towns have this week raised concern over the rejection of the $2 and at time $5 bond notes by retailers and many have asked why local police have not been seen arresting any of the known errant businesses.
