The Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) has released the June 2024 exam results, revealing a sharp decline in the Advanced Level pass rate.
At a media briefing in Harare on Tuesday, ZIMSEC Board Chair Professor Paul Mapfumo announced that the Advanced Level pass rate plummeted to 31.67%, a significant drop from 75.89% in June 2023, marking a decrease of 44.22%.
In contrast, the Ordinary Level results showed a notable improvement, with the pass rate rising to 4.44%, up from last year’s 0.46%.
