Ngezi Platinum Stars’ journey in the CAF Champions League came to an abrupt end after they were defeated by AS Maniema on penalties in the preliminary round. This early exit means that the Zimbabwean side will receive the minimum prize money of USD 50,000 for their participation in the tournament.

In contrast, Dynamos, who have advanced to the first round of the CAF Confederation Cup, are set to earn a higher reward. This season, CAF has increased the overall prize money for both the Champions League and the Confederation Cup, and for the first time, financial assistance is being offered to clubs in the preliminary rounds.
