In a separate incident, local authorities in Gaza reported that 22 civilians were killed when an Israeli airstrike hit a school sheltering displaced families in Jabalia, northern Gaza. Israel claims the facility was being used as a meeting point for operatives from Hamas and Islamic Jihad, a claim that Hamas has denied.

The latest developments mark an escalation in the ongoing conflict, with rising civilian casualties and heightened regional tensions.
