Miners Urged to Prioritize Reclamation of Mining Shafts for Community Safety.

Miners operating in the Great Dyke region have been called upon to reclaim all disused mining shafts and pits to mitigate risks to local communities.

Silveira House Project Manager, Zandile Mvududu, emphasized the critical need for miners to integrate reclamation efforts into their operations, even as extraction activities continue. 

Speaking to Great Dyke News, Mvududu highlighted the potential hazards posed by abandoned shafts and pits, urging mining entities to implement robust safety measures, including fencing off active sites.
