President Emmerson Mnangagwa has urged government officials to abandon a “business-as-usual approach” and dismantle narrow turf wars, emphasizing that unity, dedication, and innovation are key to driving Zimbabwe’s development agenda.

Speaking in Harare yesterday during an interface with Ministers of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Mnangagwa stressed the need for efficient coordination in implementing government policies and projects.

“Organizations and elements that tend to advance clandestine agendas should be resisted. I call upon Provincial structures to shun and expose any machinations and underhand activities that seek to reverse the progress we have achieved as the Second Republic,” he said.
Mnangagwa reaffirmed that Devolution and Decentralization are central to Zimbabwe’s transformation and prosperity, as outlined in the national Constitution.

“The Policy of Devolution and Decentralization is a beacon for the transformation, development, and prosperity we all have a duty to achieve,” he stated.
