The Nedbank Tour de Great Dyke brought smiles and inspiration to Martin Spur Secondary School on its way to Kadoma, where cyclists were greeted by cheering students as they crossed the railway line into the school grounds.
The brief but heartwarming stopover saw learners receive book donations from Men for Equality, an organisation championing education and empowerment initiatives along the Great Dyke corridor.
In his welcome remarks, the Headmaster expressed gratitude for the visit, sharing the school’s commitment to expanding its science education programme and its goal of establishing a low-cost boarding facility to help learners who currently travel long distances to attend school.
The visit underscored the tour’s broader mission — promoting education, community engagement, and equal opportunity — in line with this year’s theme, “Riding for Opportunity, Wellness and Charity.”
