Mandava High School has emerged victorious in a quiz competition against Errymaple, in a build-up to the Schools and Innovation Fair set for 27 March 2026.
The competition, designed to stimulate academic excellence and prepare learners for the national event, brought together students from both schools in a test of knowledge and critical thinking.
Speaking after the win, one of the Mandava High students encouraged fellow learners to take part in such initiatives, describing them as key to personal growth and leadership development.
“I would advise my fellow students to participate in such activities because they help us grow and prepare us to become leaders in the future,” said the student. “We feel great after winning the competition.”
Another participant, Elijah, said the contest was both challenging and rewarding.
“It was a tough competition, but we managed to win. Mandava never disappoints—we were expecting to win,” he said. “We hope to reach even higher levels in future competitions.”
Team leader and teacher, V.K. Sinamane, emphasised the importance of research and preparation in academic contests, urging students to remain disciplined and focused.
Mr S. Moyo also highlighted the need for thorough preparation, while encouraging learners to maintain respect for their competitors.
The Schools and Innovation Fair, scheduled for 27 March, is expected to attract students from across the country, providing a platform to showcase knowledge, creativity, and innovation.
