Arsenal Fan Shot Dead in Uganda During Victory Celebrations.

A fan celebrating Arsenal’s 2-0 victory over Manchester United was shot dead by a security guard in Lukaya, Uganda. The incident occurred at a restaurant where jubilant Arsenal supporters had gathered.


According to witnesses, the restaurant’s manager, upset by the noise, asked the security guard to intervene. When fans ignored a warning to quiet down and the power was cut off, the guard allegedly opened fire.

The victim, 30-year-old John Ssenyonga, died at the scene, while Lawrence Mugejera, another fan, was injured and taken to the hospital. Both the guard and the restaurant manager are currently on the run.
Police have recovered a firearm and are investigating the incident. The regional police spokesman condemned the violence and urged fans to control their reactions

This follows a history of football-related violence in Uganda, particularly involving English Premier League clubs.
